I saw my first Johnny jump up a few days ago at the grasslands. None yet at the house.
Could it be some kind of lamb’s quarters seedling? The red makes me think betalain pigments, which would work for that family.
That’s an interesting idea… we have a lot of other known chenopodiums that are quite different. I’ll keep you updated!
