I found a new guide to when to harvest garlic and it says after removing the scapes (flower buds) and before all the leaves die back (just some). hopefully we’ll have fewer bitter cloves this year.

I didn’t know you had bitter cloves. Bummer. I might try that too but would have to mark them so would know which ones to dig. Thanks for the tip
