Frostweed doesn’t bloom until the fall migration of Monarchs, but it is certainly ready to get started growing! I already found some leaves and the distinctive winged stem coming up near the back fence.

Gotta start early if you’re going to reach 5.5′ tall by fall LOL. The frostweed in a butterfly garden I help manage is already nearly a foot tall.

It would be taller where it’s warmer and starts earlier. They sure are cool they do their thing.

Sometimes in a good year for the Frostweed, mine can get up to 6+ feet tall!
