Why is it purplish?
That is the plant growing LED lights Wes chose. I think a lot are that way to be full spectrum. Though I have ordered some new brighter ones that claim to work while looking more like sunlight.
Are they in the shop then?
Yes, and I have it closed off with a towel to keep the light in and cats out
