I looked up Callirhoe in the BRIT Flora. It says “Gynodioecy is known in a number of species (in this genus)”. Wikipedia says “Gynodioecy is a rare breeding system that is found in certain flowering plant species in which female and hermaphroditic plants coexist within a population.” So yes, they sure could have male and female flowers.
